I am so excited to be starting the new school year at South Pine Academy. We have a lot of exciting things planned for our students. Our staff have been working diligently to prepare for the 2023-2024 school year, as we kick off year three, here at the Eagles’ Nest . I am looking forward to an amazing year as we continue to grow our school community while instilling in students a love of learning for life. 

A little bit about myself, I've been in education for over 20+ years. I graduated from Fayetteville State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in music education and a minor in reading. I earned my master's degree in Educational Leadership from Gardner-Webb University. Before coming to South Pine Academy, I served as an assistant principal at Lebanon Road Elementary and Reedy Creek elementary schools. I’ve also been a Dean of Students at Bain Elementary, a teacher at Collinswood Language Academy and at Douglas Byrd Middle School. I am proud to be kicking off my 2nd year at South Pine Academy with you.

This year we want our students to embody our theme “South Pine Academy students SOAR!” Our students are Smart, Optimistic, Achievers, who are Respectful. We will reinforce our school theme through our House System (adapted from the Ron Clark Academy). In addition to our Quarterly Awards and Eagle Awards, the House with the most points will be recognized at the end of each quarter for their hard work and dedication. We believe this is an exciting opportunity to build school community.

My goal is to work with you, your child, and our stakeholders, to strengthen our partnership and continue to make South Pine Academy an educational environment of excellence!
