What is BullyingWhat is Not Bullying
  • The person bullying uses their power to control or hurt & the people being targeted may have a hard time defending themselves.
  • Aggressive behaviors are not bullying if the actions occur once without an pattern or is done with no intention of gaining power.
  • The person bullying has intent to cause harm through aggressive behaviors.
  • Incidents of bullying happen to the same person over and over by the aggressor or bully.


Physical Attacks- Bumping into someone, Pushing, Shoving, Tripping, Punching, Kicking, Fighting.

Verbal Attacks- Racial, gender, appearance, Taking Possessions or Stealing, Exclusion from groups/activity​


Physical Behaviors-accidently bumping into someone, making others play things a certain way.

Verbal Behaviors- A statement of dislike toward or about someone, arguments or disagreements between two

or more people/groups, Expressions of unpleasant thoughts or feelings regarding others
