Connect Ed Message 3/31/20

Good afternoon, Sterling families!  This is Emily Miles, calling with some updates. CMS district leaders have been working on plans for our next phase of instruction for students.  After working very hard, they were able to share this with us this afternoon, and I wanted to update you as soon as possible, prior to them sharing information with families this evening.  Our teachers will begin delivering new instruction this coming Monday, April 6th. Tomorrow, we will post on our school's website what students' and teachers' weekly schedule will look like with new instruction, as some has been adjusted to meet the needs of our many families after receiving feedback these past few weeks.  We are very aware of the many factors and needs that families have at this time, and want to be sensitive to those, while providing meaningful instruction for each of our students. It is important to note that with new instruction, grading will begin on Monday for our 4th quarter. It is imperative that you communicate any technology needs to your child’s teacher to ensure each of our 2nd-5th grade students have what they need by Monday.

I also want to clarify some questions about the CMS Calendar and Spring Break.  Students will receive instruction through next Wednesday, then be on Spring Break through April 17th.  If you have any questions, concerns, or needs, please reach out. Thank you for all of your support, take care, and have a good night!
