EARLY DISMISSAL POLICY

  • Send a NOTE

  • Student brings note to the Office BEFORE 1st Block

  • Make sure the TIME is BETWEEN classes (class change, see bell schedule below)

  • Student receives an "early dismissal pass"

  • Parent meets student in the Office

  • Sign your child OUT

  • LAST EARLY DISMISSAL TIME IS 2:10PM

  • Please try not to call during school hours for a dismissal

  • Please do not show up at school and expect to have your child immediately

  • If your child has been waiting for early dismissal pickup for 15 minutes, he/she will be sent back to class.

REPORT AN ABSENCE

Please let us know if your child is absent. You may call the school, send in a note, or send an email through our attendance email address at scms.attendance@cms.k12.nc.us. Thank you for keeping us informed!‚Äč

TARDIES

If your child is tardy, he/she may sign themselves in with a doctor excuse otherwise a parent must sign the student in at the front office. If the student is unexcused tardy without a doctor excuse, a parent must sign the student in after 9AM.
