Girls on the Run uses running as a tool to help prepare girls for a lifetime of self respect and healthy living. We discuss topics including: standing kup for yourself, personal value, teamwork and dealing with gossip. The program focuses on building self-esteem and improving physical health. Girls on the Run started 15 years ago with a small program at Charlotte Country Day School. This spring, they will serve over 1,300 girls throughout the community.
