Congratulations to the Smithfield After School Enrichment Program who recently earned these accolades:

Clem Wilson is named 2010 South Learning Community Site Coordinator of Year

     Ms. Wilson has been acknowledged for the hard work and dedication she displays on a daily basis.
     Ms. Wilson will now advance to the next stage of 2010 Site Coordinator of the Year selection process.

Smithfield After School Enrichment Program Maintains "5 Star" Status, earning a 6 out of 7 on their SACERS assessment.

     In North Carolina, the School-Age Care Environment Rating Scale is the official assessment tool used
     to evaluate quality in licensed school-age programs. It is a reliable and valid resource tool that aids in 
     quality assessment as well as program improvement stategies.

     SACERS evaluates programs in the following areas:

  • Space and Furnishings
  • Health and Safety
  • Activities
  • Interactions
  • Program Structure
  • Staff Development
  • Supplementary Items
