At Reedy Creek Elementary, we offer a wide variety of clubs for scholars to enjoy. Please see below more information including sponsors, dates and times.

2019-2020 Reedy Creek Club

Reedy Creek Elementary School provides our scholars with high-quality, comprehensive education including a number of extracurricular opportunities. These opportunities include several on-campus clubs during the week from 3:00-5:00 pm after school.

Art Club- Ms. Guerrero

Meeting Day: Mondays

Time: 3:00-4:00 pm

Location: Art Room

Pick up area: Front entrance of Reedy Creek Elementary School

Description: Art Club is for scholars who would like to expand their art knowledge and experience. We will create art for contests and special occasions. The Art Club will meet for one semester.


Yearbook Club- Ms. Guerrero

Meeting Day: Mondays

Time: 3:00-4:00 pm

Location: Art Room

Pick up area: Front entrance of Reedy Creek Elementary School

Description: Yearbook Club is for highly motivated and innovative scholars. Yearbook Club members will be required to photograph events, design and layout the Reedy Creek yearbook. The Yearbook Club will meet for the entire school year.


Girls on the Run- Ms. Cameron, Ms. Costner and Ms. Smida

Meeting Day: Tuesdays and Thursdays

Time: 3:15-4:30 pm

Description: Girls on the Run is a 10 week (20 lessons) program designed to allow every girl to recognize her inner strength. The Girls on the Run curriculum inspires girls to define their lives on their own terms. Throughout the season, our girls make new friends, build their confidence and celebrate their uniqueness. The lessons encourage positive emotional, social, mental and physical development.  Participants explore and discuss their own beliefs, experiences and challenges girls face at their age.  The girls develop essential strategies and skills to help them navigate life experiences.

Physical activity is woven into the program to inspire an appreciation for fitness by building habits that leads to a lifetime of health. At the end of the program, the girls will participate in a Girls on the Run 5K event. This celebratory, non-competitive event is the culminating experience of the curriculum. Completing the 5K gives the girls a tangible understanding of the confidence that comes through accomplishments as well as create a framework for setting and achieving life goals.

Description: Scholeadership Team is a new program at Reedy Creek Elementary School for Scholars who LEAD! The main components are recycling, safety patrol, bus lot services, morning news, and afternoon flag. In addition, you will have the opportunity to enhance leadership skills and character development by working closely with the advisors and other Scholeaders of the team!


Inventor Club- Mr. Todd Hetrick (2nd Semester)

Description: The robotics club is for scholars ranging from Kindergarten-5th grade. This is a perfect club for scholars who enjoy robotics, engineering, programming and gaming. Club members will have the opportunity to design, build, and work with adult mentors in the engineering field. They will have an opportunity to participate in competitions and enjoy a rewarding culmination of events, at the end of the school year.


Intramural Sports Club- Coach Green (1st semester)

Description:The intramural Sports Club at Reedy Creek Elementary Schools is an extension of our regular physical education program, conducted after school. Intramural sports activities range from traditional sports such as flag football, basketball, and slow-pitch softball to non-traditional sports such as ultimate frisbee, wiffle ball, and dodgeball. All intramural activities are treated equally in terms of resources, facilities, staff, and allocation of supplies and equipment. Our programs will provide scholars with a variety of interesting, diverse, and challenging activities to accommodate differing levels of need, skill, readiness, and interests. In addition, our program will be individualized to reflect the needs and interest of all scholars. Our intramural sports will focus on enjoyment of learning activities rather than pressure to compete and win, as in athletic competition.

Basketball Club- Coach Green (2nd semester)

Meeting Day: Monday & Thursday

Time: 3:00-5:00 pm

Description: Offered to 4th and 5th grade scholars that would like to practice and learn more skills in basketball. Scholars will be expected to have passing grades, good attendance and good conduct.

Reedy Creek Spirit Squad - Ms. Noble and Ms. Rowell

Description: The Reedy Creek Spirit Squad is for 3rd, 4th, 5th grader scholars. It is for boys and girls, who are ready to build school spirit amongst peers, parents, and faculty! Scholars will be apart of a positive cheerleading team promoting teamwork, responsibility, and positivity. Creating a space for leadership and taking direct directives with a positive attitude. We will have performances throughout the year at House meetings, pep rallies, PTO events, etc


Reedy Creek Piano Club-Mr. Williams

Time: 3:15-4:15 pm

Description: The Reedy Creek Piano Club provided by Next Step Ed. is a convenient and fun way for scholars to learn how to play piano and get more music fundamental skills.  Scholars learn music theory, how to read music, and play with correct posture and technique.  Included with tuition is a free take-home rental keyboard and Magical Musical Tour Piano Book.  Scholarships available for students on the free/reduced lunch program.  Scholars also take part in a concert for family and friends at the end of the semester.  Visit for more information.

Rocky's Runners Office Helpers- Mr. Sizemore

Meeting Day: Daily

Time: 8:00-8:20 am

Location: Office

Pick up area: n/a

Description: Scholars will report to the office from 8:00-8:20 am daily. This will be on a rotation basis with different scholars assigned monthly. Scholars primarily assist Pre-K - 1 grade tardy students to classrooms. They will also be trained to answer the door and greet customers. At times scholars may assist with photo copying and running office errands. Some scholars will asked to report to office the first 10 minutes of recess to walk around the campus and collect office passes and notes from classrooms.
