Piney Grove Elementary is located  in the South-East Learning Community .  We are a PK-5 elementary school with over 800 students.  We have 41 classroom teachers, as well as 6 Special Area teachers, a STEM teacher, 4 EC teachers, 4 ESL teachers, a TD teacher, 2 Reading Intervention teachers, 3 teachers for students with autism, as well as 10 instructional assistants.  Many of our teachers have National Board Certification as well as Masters Degrees.  We have a strong academic program as well as a caring staff who strives to ensure that every student has the ability to learn in the best possible environment.  We align our instruction to the Common Core State Standards.

Piney Grove Elementary has a high level of community involvement starting with an active PTA.  Numerous churches and other organizations support our learning environment with donations of time, money and materials.  We have a strong tutoring program through HEART Tutors. We are a neighborhood school and also have six classes of PK students who come to us from the area communities.
