Newman's News

My name is Dianna Newman and I have been in Charlotte since 1997.  My husband and I are proud parents of 3 boys (Ryan, Cameron and Bryce) and our latest addition baby girl Avery.  I am so fortunate to have a such a wonderful family and support system.  My husband is a software developer who graduated from Wolf Pack Country with a degree in Electrical Engineering.

I was born in a small village outside of Seoul, Korea called Ui-Jong-Bu.  My father served proudly in the US Army in Field Artillery which afforded my family the opportunity to travel around the world.  I earned my BS in Elementary Education from Winthrop University and my Master's in School Administration from Gardner-Webb University. One of my proudest accomplishments as a classroom teacher was becoming Nationally Board Certified.

When I am away from school, I am an avid reader as well as a basketball and football MOM!!  I love rooting for the hometown teams, Charlotte Hornets and Carolina Panthers!

What I Value...

Parkside Elementary will grow to be a place where each student feels valued and supported.

1. We will create a school that is welcoming and inviting for all.
2. Students feel nurtured and safe, which will allow them to learn and grow academically and socially in our school environment.

We are Parkside!
