January 10, 2020 Message:

Good evening Oakhurst STEAM families and staff,

This is Principal Blue with our reminders for the week:

It has been brought to my attention that we need to tighten our safety measures.  Rest assured all measures are being followed to ensure the safety of our staff and scholars.  To continue to do all we can to maintain a safe learning environment, all scholars will be asked to remove hoodies from their head as they enter the building. Teachers will have discretion to allow children to wear hoodies in classrooms. Likewise, the back parking lot will be locked after the last bus arrives. This will ensure we do not have traffic on our bus lot during the school day. If you have questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach me, Ms. Blue at the school.

We still have several items in Lost and Found. Several items have been found and are currently being stored on a rack and a table by the cafeteria. Please encourage your child to identify and collect lost items. Any items not claimed by the end of January will be donated to Good Will or another nonprofit organization.

Save the date:

Class Pictures will take place on January 16th. Information was sent home this week.

Dr. Martin Luther King's Holiday is January 20th. School will be closed on this day.

The quarter will end on January 23rd.

We will have a teacher workday on January 24th.

Our PTA is hosting a Friends of Oakhurst Dance on February 8th.  More information will be sent home next week.

This concludes my reminders for the week.

Have a great weekend.
