WELCOME TO NWSA 2021-2022!

Volunteers help make our school GREAT!

You are required to register online to volunteer.  You may do so at http://www.cms.k12.nc.us (opens in new tab) and click on “Community” at the top of the page. At the bottom of the drop down menu click on “Volunteer” and check out the guide to understand your options. Information for a background check is required.

If you have registered before, you need to log in and make sure that you have added Northwest School of the Arts.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES - Check out “Clubs and Organizations” on the NWSA homepage.  Friends of Northwest is our Parent/Teacher Organization (PTO). Fill out their volunteer interest form to find out about volunteer opportunities to support the school and staff. Each Booster club has a separate webpage if you want to be a part of their specific fundraising at performances or events and chaperone field trips.  Test proctors, help in the media center, and mentoring students are always needed and registering allows us to inform volunteers about those types of opportunities.

Do you have questions?  Email joanne.rowe@cms.k12.nc.us, Interim NWSA Volunteer Coordinator.

Remember, anyone entering the school will be required to wear a mask inside the school building this year and if you volunteer during the school day you must check in and get a name badge at the front office.

Thank you for your willingness to help make Northwest Simply the Best!  HAVE A GREAT YEAR!
