Wolfpack Family,

I am thankful to be the proud principal of Newell Elementary.  I live in the Newell  community and have a sense of pride and responsibility for being the best principal I can be for our students.

Just to tell you a little bit about me, I was the assistant principal at Albemarle Road Elementary for 3 years. Previously, I was a literacy facilitator and teacher at McClintock Middle.  I taught Spanish, and continue to practice speaking Spanish each day.  I earned my bachelor’s degree in communications studies from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and I hold a master’s degree in teaching English as a Second Language from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.  I received my  master’s degree in educational leadership from Winthrop University.

Thank you for entrusting your child’s education to our staff.  It is my hope that all students will develop a sense of pride and belonging as they are members of the Newell pack.  Thank you for partnering with me so we may soar to new heights of excellence.  Should you ever need to contact me, please do so at the email address below.
