Mallard Creek High School will follow the policies outlined in the Student Rights and Responsibilities Handbook. The following dress code has been established for students at Mallard Creek High School:All Students:
Items that promote drugs, alcohol, tobacco, violence, nudity, obscene messages or has any slogan , or picture which is not in good taste or demeaning to any group or gender is inappropriate and prohibited. Skirts, dresses, shorts must hang past fingertip in the front of the garment. Running and athletic shorts must be appropriate length. Jeans should not have holes above fingertip length.Tops must cover chest, back, stomach and shoulders (4 finger width).No headgear (hats, knit caps, scarves, do-rags, head bands, sunglasses, bandanas).Hoods may NOT be worn inside of the building.Rosary beads must not be visible.
*in the remote environment, all students must be appropriately dressed. Students must be fully dressed while engaging remotely.
Consequences:Students who do not follow dress code will be asked to call parents/guardians and sent to ISS until proper clothing is available. Repeated incidences of dress code violations will carry increasingly severe consequences. Violators will be required to call parents and sent to ISS until a change of clothes is brought in.Changing back into inappropriate clothing is considered insubordination and additional consequences will be given.Multiple violations will result in more serious consequences.
* In a remote environment, students will be asked to turn off their video camera and attempt to find appropriate clothing. Once the student is able to comply, they will be permitted to admit themselves back to the virtual classroom.
