Assistant Principal's Corner

My name is Sony Anderson and I am the Assistant Principal at Long Creek Elementary. I have been in education for 18 years.

I have an undergraduate degree in Elementary Education from Johnson C. Smith University, a Masters in Curriculum and Supervision from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, an add-on license from Wingate University and National Board Certification in Generalist Middle Childhood. I am currently pursuing a doctorate degree in Educational Leadership from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
As an educator, I have taught 2nd-5th Grade. I have  served as a K-5 Literacy Facilitator, Instructional Accountability Facilitator and a Dean of Students.

As the Assistant Principal, I am committed to working in collaboration with you to continue to develop and educate your child. I am a servant leader and it is an honor to be a part of the Long Creek Family. I know that I have been called to be a positive influence in the lives of Long Creek students. I look forward to working with all of you and showing my MUSTANG PRIDE! If you have any questions about your child’s progress in school or need to schedule a meeting, please do not hesitate to call or email.
