Our Team

HRA's Student Support Team is made up of the school counselor, school social worker, Communities in School coordinator, and more! We are here to help your child succeed in the areas of academics and social emotional development. We also work with families to help them find resources for both home  and school.

Communities In Schools (CIS)

Communities In Schools (CIS) is the nation's largest and most effective drop-out prevention network,helping young people to stay in school, graduate, and prepare for life. The mission of Communities In Schools is to surround students with a community of support, empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life. We are committed to helping students achieve success in school and continue their education in college or other post-secondary training. At Highland, CIS works with teachers, staff, and the community to provide support for the school in the areas of attendance, academics, behavior, health, enrichment, and parental involvement.
