Welcome
Dear Hawk Ridge Community,

It is an incredible honor to have been selected as your principal. The warm welcome has been extremely humbling. I am so encouraged by the outpouring of support and I can’t wait to serve alongside the staff, students and parents as the principal of Hawk Ridge Elementary.

Hawk Ridge Elementary School has such a rich history of dedicated teachers, community support, and eager students. It is with great enthusiasm that I begin this journey together with you to continue the success of our school. I am thrilled to continue building relationships with our families, community members, faculty and most especially, the students.

As I transition into the principal role, I will continue to learn from all of the stakeholders within the school community. Expanding upon already established relationships and continuing to build trust with teachers, families and students is my primary goal. I am committed to building upon strong relationships, providing a warm environment where everyone feels welcome to learn and grow, along with identifying academic areas of need to provide necessary support for change.

Please feel free to contact me through email (christyd.mccauley@cms.k12.nc.us), or phone (980-343-5927) and you can ask me questions directly or set up an individual meeting with me via phone or email. We’re going to have a great year at Hawk Ridge!!!

Sincerely,

Christy McCauley
Principal
