Jay M. Robinson
Jay M. Robinson would like to wish all our families a happy summer! Enjoy this time with family and friends, stay safe and healthy! We highly encourage all students to keep their skills sharp over the summer. There are several opportunities for summer enrichment in all content areas on the CMS website.  JMR teachers have also created ELA and Math work that will allow students to practice important reading and math skills over the summer.
All summer work can be found on the school website - go to the Jay M Robinson Middle School website - click on the Parent/Student Information tab (left side of page) - click on the word information (center of page) - click on Summer Reading/Math Assignments tab (left side of page).

Math work must be completed by Monday, August 16th, 2021.
ELA work must be completed by Wednesday, August 25, 2021
Please note that the Math summer work and the Summer Reading Project are required for all students except those attending Camp CMS. This preparatory coursework is available, but optional, for students who attend Camp CMS.

What's the Difference between Epic and SORA?

  • Epic - During the summer, students will only have access to a limited selection of books on Epic for a total of 2 hours a week, and only accessible after 4 pm, AND even that limited access is only available if parent signs up with an email address. If students are in summer school and their teacher gives them a class code, they’ll have to use the class code option during the day and their parent-created account after 4. By comparison…

  • Sora - Free access 24/7 all year, students don’t have to maintain a reliable wifi connection once they have downloaded a book, and they can continue to access it through Clever like they have all year. No contest!

Watch Sora In Sixty Seconds to answer any questions you may have about SORA!
