Cochrane Colts have taken on an exciting new approach to supporting our students.  We are beginning our journey with AVID.  AVID, which stands for Advancement Via Individual Determination, is a college readiness program designed to help students develop the skills they need to be successful in college. The program places special emphasis on growing writing, critical thinking, teamwork, organization and reading skills. Many of our middle school students will take part in an AVID elective, those that do not, will still be working with staff members on skills needed to be successful.  One of those skills is organization and the use of an AVID binder.  ALL MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS WILL BE REQUIRED TO HAVE THE FOLLOWING Supplies:

AVID Binder Supply List
