- Overall mission of the school is to provide access to college coursework to first-generation college, economically disadvantaged students and opportunities for acceleration

- All CTEC 11th grade students will be enrolled in EDUC 1100 (Foundations of Education and Diversity in Schools) and SPED 2100 (Introduction to Students will Special Needs) during the 2020-21 school year
- 12th grade students are enrolled in a variety of UNC Charlotte elective courses and courses focused on their desired teaching area
- Strong Partnership with UNC Charlotte and the Cato College of Education
- Clinical Experiences will be provided via UNC Charlotte education coursework
- Long Term plan would be to grow CTEC to 100 students per cohort
- Plans have been discussed for middle school exposure and target marketing for high needs areas in teaching
- Goal would be to provide funding for scholarship money beyond the 13th grade year to allow potential teaching candidates to earn an undergraduate degree at no cost

- After the 2020-21 academic year, CTEC students have earned a combined 3.0 GPA in UNC Charlotte courses
- 9th grade housed at James Martin Middle School moving forward

- 84 CTEC students are enrolled in UNC Charlotte coursework for the 2020 fall semester
- CTEC students save approximately $7100.00 each year in college tuition and fees
