Assistant Principal- Mr. Jamal Henry
Greetings Berewick Bobcats! I am Jamal Henry and it is an honor to serve as Assistant Principal of Berewick Elementary. This is my third year at Berewick. I have been married for 18 years and have two children; a second grader and a seventh grader. I have 24 years of experience as an educator, instructional coach and leader in many diverse educational settings. I am looking forward to working with all Berewick students and parents, specifically as the grade level administrator for first grade, third grade, fifth grade and our Student Behavior Support K-5 classes. My vision for all students is to provide the best education possible through a safe and encouraging environment and strong researched-based instruction.
Dean of Students- Ms. Holly Carter
My name is Holly Carter, Dean of Students, at Berewick Elementary School. My teaching career began in fifth grade and continued over the course of several years teaching seventh, third, and first grade students. I was also a Math Facilitator for two years at another CMS elementary school. I have been fortunate to have taught in the Charlotte Mecklenburg School system for twenty successful years, with this being my seventh year as Berewick's Dean of Students. I am very proud to be a Bobcat!
Academic Facilitator- Ms. Paula Jackson
My name is Paula Jackson, and I am the Academic Facilitator here at Berewick Elementary. I began my career In Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools as a 3rd grade teacher. Over the past 19 years I have been fortunate to teach almost every grade, including K/1 & 4/5 combination classes. I hold a B.A in Elementary Education from Western Carolina University, A Master's in Elementary Education from Pfeiffer University and a Master's in Educational Leadership from Winthrop University. This is my fifth year at Berewick. I am very honored and proud to serve the Bobcat family! I am looking forward to a wonderful year! #bobcatstrong
