Ardrey Kell High School's Marine Corps JROTC as been named Naval Honor School for the 2019-2020 School year. Details can be accessed by clicking here.

Additionally, Cadet Major Rhea Pokala was awarded the Legion of Valor Medal. This is the highest award that any Marine Corps Cadet can achieve. Rhea was nominated and competed agains all the cadets within the 40 schools located in Region 2 (Md, DC, VA, NC, SC, TN, GA, FL).  Requirements and determining factors were Cadet Major Pokala's academics, community service, and athlectic achievements. This also encompassed her letters of recommendations from her classroom teachers and school adminstrators.

The CMS Director of Military Instruction (DAI) Colonel Robert Clark, awarded Ardrey Kell’s Marine Corps JROTC the 2019-2020 “Program of Excellence”.

The following cadets/students were scheduled to compete in the National JROTC Academic Bowl this past summer. How due to COVID-19, the competition was canceled. Our cadets have been invited to participate nationally for the last three years. This is where they complete against all Marine Corps JROTC units located throughout the United States, including all Department of Defense (DOD) schools overseas. They presented the following awards for qualifying to participate in the 2019-2020 Academic Bowl.
