Hello and welcome to the NAWL PTA!

Our PTA exists to support our children's potential by creating educational opportunities, advocating, and building a strong community.

We invite you to become a member of our PTA. We need all hands on deck to start the school year strong and do what we can to see our children thrive.  By joining the PTA, you will be able to serve as a board member, a volunteer, an advocate... You name it! The opportunities are endless.

Caregivers can join individually for an annual fee of $10. Two adults can join for an annual fee of $18. To join, please go to https://ncpta-12432495.memberhub.com/store

June 23, 2021 Nǐ hǎo NAWL! My name is Zaki Baker and I am the proud parent of a rising Kindergarten & first grader. It is my honor to serve on the PTA and help to kick off our first fantastic and memorable school year. I know that I am not alone when I say I am extremely excited for our new school and the leadership we have. My goal is for us parents, to match Principal Fergison in her efforts to make our school community a phenomenal success. Please consider this a formal welcome to the launch of NAWL’s Parent Teacher Association (PTA).

The PTA is a volunteer organization working to positively impact our children and families. We provide resources for our teachers to enhance while also ensuring the promise of success for our students. We will work closely with Principal Fergison to produce staff appreciation events, give students access to strengthening programs, assemblies, fun themed weeks, and other events throughout the year that enrich our students’ experience at North Academy of World Languages.

Our PTA will be able to provide these events and resources through your membership, participation in fundraisers, and volunteering. Our school will be strong because of the strength of your involvement. Although we are not yet on campus, it isn't too early to establish our sense of connection and show our students, teachers, and families our support. We would love for each family to find a way to be involved in the PTA this year!

The first focus of our PTA is infrastructure. We are eliciting help from our community because we know you have experience and great strengths that you can contribute to our school. For those of you who are not able to contribute through service, we strongly encourage you to support through donations. We know the students are talented and the apple doesn’t far too far from the tree so please bring your talents to the PTA!

Sincerely, Mrs. Zaki Baker North Academy of World Languages PTA President 2021 - 2022
