If Chromebooks need repair, please label them with the problem and your room number and bring them to the Media Center. We have a Chromebook Repair tub that goes out on a regular basis.


Special Area

The Special Area Team is aligning with classroom teachers as we begin exploring Eco Systems, the natural environment, and sustainability.

We are learning how important it is to take care of our fragile planet!

We’re also launching the holidays with our theme, Holidays around the World.  We will celebrate the holidays of Diwali, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa and Christmas through music and stories.

Northstar Readers

The district-wide Northstar program is building readers!

Our 2nd graders are doing lots of reading and learning with our Aldersgate mentors this year.  


Book Fair!

This year’s first Scholastic Book Fair is scheduled for the week of December 3-7 from 8:00 am until 3:00 pm daily.

Students will shop for books during an assigned day, and parents are welcome any time!

Special Event:  Family Reading Night is Tuesday night December 4, and Book Fair will be open for holiday shopping from 5:30-6:30 that evening.  

Books make excellent holiday gifts!

Book Club

Our new Biography Book Club is in full swing, reading about naturalist Jane Goodall

and athlete/civil rights activist Jesse Owens

Don’t forget:  students can use all of Charlotte’s public libraries simply by using their Student ID number at check-out. r.

Our public libraries are great, free resource!


Gardens are planted, and all the rain will make for good winter crops that should come up in early spring!

Lettuces, spinach, radishes, carrots and kale are

some of the edibles we will be sampling from our garden this spring.
