In an effort to promote literacy and the love of reading, WSE is offering a FUN incentive each month for all students.

In February, teachers were able to recognize students who were "Caught Being a Reader."  These kids were placed into a drawing.  Each week for the entire month, five students were selected to win a FREE book, courtesy of the Give Five Read Five Program!  Congratulations to the students who were able to claim their free book for being awesome reading leaders in our school!

In March and April students have a new opportunity to earn free books!  During these months, students can turn in a short summary of a book they have read at home.  Summaries are dropped off into a box.  Throughout the month, summaries will be randomly drawn.  Those students will receive a reading certificate as well as a FREE BOOK!

Students can pick up a summary sheet from the main hallway table, in front of the media center.  When students finish, they return their summary back in the box on the table.  Once their summary goes in, it stays for the entire duration of the drawing, so they have plenty of chances to WIN!

At Winding Springs Elementary we love to use fun ways to help students grow a lifetime love for reading.  Stay tuned for photos and check back to see what exciting incentives will be coming next!

Don't forget to turn those summaries in to WIN A FREE BOOK!
