CMS general message to Students, Families and Staff February 15, 2019

CMS is open to all students who are residents of our community and believes that school should be a safe place for everyone. CMS does not ask for residency status of any student, does not provide that information and protects the information of all students. CMS is providing counseling supports to school leaders to help students who may be traumatized by recent immigration law enforcement activities in our community. CMS encourages families to have an emergency plan in place and to share it with their students. This plan should include contact information for trusted adults and safe places to go to should an emergency arise. Students and families are encouraged to reach out to school principals, teachers and staff to ask for support.
