At its July 28 meeting, the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Board of Education approved the appointment of Malacy T. Williams as principal at Westerly Hills Academy.
Williams has been working as an assistant principal at Coulwood STEM Academy. She has held teacher positions at Hopewell High School from 2002 to 2005 and Northeast Middle School from 1997 to 2002.
Williams earned her bachelor's degree in business administration from Johnson C. Smith University and master's degree in educational leadership from Gardner-Webb University.
