Message from the Principal
Dear Starmount Academy of Excellence (SAE) Families and Supporters,
As principal of Starmount Academy of Excellence, I want to welcome you to our dynamic learning community. SAE offer students in Pre-K – grade 5 a multicultural, rigorous education that teaches them to value diversity and equips them with the skills needed to excel as productive members of the 21st century global community. Our belief systems centers on the belief that each student has the potential to bring about positive change by extending their leadership skills, recognizing their unique talents and accepting a social responsibility to their community.
The staff and administration at Starmount Academy exhibit strong dedication to student achievement and are constantly advancing their teaching methods and strategies through professional development opportunities. Every lesson, activity and event at Starmount Academy is student-centered. We strive to accommodate the learning styles of all children, recognizing that each student is an individual with different strengths and weaknesses. Our staff is committed to creating and maintaining an orderly, trusting and caring environment where teaching and learning are exciting and students are assisted as they advance in their education.
While we value our staff and their leadership in the school community, we also recognize that parents are vital and important partners in the education of their children. Parents are the first and foremost educators of Starmount Academy students. We welcome parents in our classrooms and invite you to share in the learning experience. Every effort is made to ensure strong communication between the school and home. By joining our Parent Teacher Organization (PTO), parents can become active members of a team that discusses the Starmount Academy curriculum, educational plan and school events.
In addition to our valuable parents, Starmount Academy also relies upon community supporters. These organizations expand student opportunities, offer new experiences and instill important values within our children. Knowing that local leaders care about their education inspires students to do their best and someday, we hope it will encourage them to give back to a community that has given them so much.
Please come visit our students at Starmount Academy and learn about the great things our school has to offer. To schedule a tour, please call (980)343-3630. I look forward to introducing you to our learning community!
Ms. Nancy Martinez
