Hello, SWMS Orchestra Families!

Just, wow.  I found myself so filled with gratitude last week.  Gratitude for our opportunity to play at Blumenthal, gratitude for the parents who went with us on both trips, gratitude for being able to work in such a wonderful school, gratitude that our children showed great humility of character with some tough situations, gratitude that my brother drove from Raleigh to hear us play.  Most of all, I am grateful for your children.  They are some of the most talented, hard working, empathetic people on the planet, and they learned those values from you, parents.  I am thankful to be able to share music with them and watch them grow as musicians and human beings.

Rising 6th Grade Instrument selection nights

It's coming upon that time of year when we invite the rising 6th graders to our classroom to try out instruments.  We usually have a lot of current Orchestra students from all grades help these nights.  I'll send home a permission form for you to return if you are interested in helping with one or both of these nights.  Calm and mature is the name of the game helping these nights, as they get pretty busy!  You'll also need to be in your Orchestra polo/black pants.
