Typically, we do not have conversations about the next school year with our parents until we get closer to August, but with the process of assigning classes and teachers, we want to ensure that we take our time and find the best fit possible for your child. One of the most important tasks that we face each year in schools is organizing classes. Because teachers and parents know the needs of their children best, we are seeking your input.
In addition to the parent feedback we receive, we will also utilize teacher feedback as well during our class creation process for the 2018-19 school year. This will provide us with additional information regarding your children so we can best place them and to develop well-balanced classes for next year.
If you wish to provide information for us to consider, please use the Classroom Placement Form return it to the main office by June 1st. Instead of requesting a particular teacher, we ask that you describe the type of classroom and teaching strategies you feel would suit your child's needs. You are welcome to add an attachment page if you see fit. I will read each form and make notes about your child. This saves you from having to schedule an individual conference pertaining to your child.
We see the creation of well-organized classes as a critical piece of our overall school planning. Our goal is to establish supportive, productive classes where all students can be successful. We greatly appreciate you providing us with this information.
