PHS Class of 2012 Highlights

 

  462 students will attend 78 colleges and universities in 20 states and 3 countries.

·       The Class of 2012 was admitted to 182 different colleges and universities.

·       77% of the class will attend four year colleges and universities.

·       19 % of the class will attend community college.

·  1    4 % will join the military or workforce. 

  Scholarships

·       Seven students in the class are National Merit Finalists.

·       The class received 333 scholarships totaling $12,611,729.  In addition to academic

        awards, Providence students received scholarships for athletics, military, band and fine arts.

        Providence seniors were offered the largest number of scholarships of any school in CMS.

  The Class of 2012 surpassed the scholarship record set by the Class of 2011 by 2.5 million dollars.

·       The Class of 2011 was admitted to 169 different colleges and universities.

·       76% of the class will attend four year colleges and universities.

·       12 % of the class will attend community college.

·       12% will join the military or workforce. 

 Scholarships

·      Five students in the class are National Merit Finalists and two students are National Achievement Finalists.

·      The class received 292 scholarships totaling $10,110,300, the largest number awarded to any school

       in Mecklenburg County.
