Greetings NAES Family!
It is hard to believe that the second quarter is over and we are on our way to approaching the final stretch of the 15-16 school year. There has been so much great work going on in our school. Our students and staff are working hard as we continue our quest for excellence and increased student achievement. This was seen in our midyear test scores for MAP and Reading3D, as well as with common assessments as we track mastery of the Common Core State Standards. We have a lot to be proud of here at NAES. Last school year, we met or exceeded student growth targets school-wide. We made high growth as a school and our growth index was 5.68! This speaks to the hardwork and dedication of our staff and students. We will use this momentum as we continue into the last parts of the current school year.
If your contact information has changed, please update it in the front office as soon as possible to help us communicate effectively with you. We also ask that you remember to send a note with your student to ensure that absences are excused. It is very important that we have this written documentation.
We have several parent events in March and April for families and are looking forward to collaborating. Please see our calendar of events on the school webpage for this information. This includes the Author's Tea, EOG Night, and the International Arts Festival.
The third annual Governor's Village 5K is on Saturday, April 16! We look forward to seeing you here as we all walk/run together and raise money for college scholarships for our students.
Thank you for your partnership with us. Go Cougars!
Please feel free to contact with me any questions or concerns.
