Merry Oaks Elementary is partnering with Project 658 and Thrivent Financial to raise funds to provide each one of our 750 students a brand new winter coat this October!
The project is called "Wrapped In Love." We have an opportunity this fall to give brand new winter coats made in the USA to these children—not only to help them stay warm but empower them to greater self-confidence and peer acceptance at school. This is about giving a child more than a coat: our love in action tells those who need to hear it most: "You're worth it."
Adrienne Beatty and Laurie Humphrey are leading this project for us. I'd like to connect them to you, our dearest partners, to discuss how you can get involved in wrapping our students in love. If you're interested in learning more, contact Adrienne at Adrienne.firstname.lastname@example.org.
Goals of the project: 1) Raise $27,000 2) Gather 50 volunteers for the events
Visit Thrivent Financial's campaign website at www.OperationWarm.org/ThriventNC to make a tax-deductible donation today. With our help, our Merry Oaks students will be wrapped in love with warm coats to wear to school this winter!
If you're being called to volunteer you time and talents, we have volunteer opportunities for you and your families to serve on October 26th and 27th at Merry Oaks Elementary to give the kids their brand new coats.
