REPORT AN ABSENCE
When a student is absent, we ask a parent or guardian to notify the attendance office in writing which provides the reason for the absence. Phone calls are not documentation for excused absences. Parents or guardians have the following options for reporting an absence:
- REPORT AN ABSENCE
From the JM Robison website click on Report an Absence. This will direct you to the email above
Send a written, signed note from parent or guardian, or physician when a student returns to school. Notes should be taken to the Attendance Office or Welcome Desk.
Please include the dates and reasons for each absence. Excused absences are limited by law to a student's personal illness, attendance at a funeral of an immediate family member, a court-ordered appearance, or an appointment (medical or dental) that cannot be scheduled outside of the normal school day.
EARLY DISMISSAL: NO LATER THAN 2:45
Note: We strongly discourage early dismissals, but in the event that you do need to pull your child from school, please follow these directions:
Please send in a hand-written note with your child in the morning.
Have your child bring this to the Welcome Desk that morning and they will be given a Hall Pass.
Remind your child of the time you need them to be there at the Front Office. It is the student's responsibility to be at the Welcome Desk on time.
At the time of pickup, please come to the Welcome Desk and sign your child out on a blue card. Please be prepared to show identification.
Should you forget to send in a note, please know that it may take up to 15 minutes to find your child and have them come to the front office.
