This is the Inaugural Season of the 'Indy Ruggers' under the coaching of Coach Adam Kelley.

  The Rugby team is a new 'Club Sport' here at Independence

Congrats to the Rugby Club. This weekend the Indy Ruggers defeated Concord High School 63 to 24.  

• Darius Reid scored two tries or touchdowns in his first game,
•  Travis Brister, Mark Drayton, and captain Mario Sierra added one try a piece
• In  his first game, Chris Johnson added 14 points, by making 7 out of 9 extra point kicks.
• Biggest Hit Award goes to Carlos Fernandez
• The Forward of the Match goes to co-captain Devante Brister who scored two tries, made many long runs, and key tackles.
• The Back of the Match goes to Dannie Goodson scored two tries and assisted on several others.
