Dear Hornets Nest Family,

Remember to have your child read at least 30 minutes EVERY day.

I hope to see you at our upcoming school events!

Join us THIS THURSDAY!

6:00 pm

Don’t miss our:

5th Grade Wax Museum:

Our 5th Grader students will dress as influential African Americans in history.  Read their displays and ask our students  questions about the person they are representing.

Interactive Black History Walk:

Travel through our Black History walk and learn interesting Black History Facts!  Our walk includes bulletin boards, chromebook videos and QR Codes.  Don’t forget to download your favorite QR Code Reader to your mobile devices.  A great QR reader is “i-nigma”!

Entertainment Stage:

Enjoy entertainment throughout the evening from our staff and students!

Test your knowledge with our Online Quiz!

*Each Parent attending will receive a house ticket for their child’s house!*

WE hope to see you THIS THURSDAY!

Children First,

Victoria Hicks

Hornets Nest Essential 7

1.      Always keep your eyes on the person that is speaking.

2.      Always respond appropriately to others by saying thank you, speaking when spoken to, and talking in complete sentences. It is not respectful to smack your teeth, walk away, roll your eyes, or shrug your shoulders.

3.      Cheer on others who do something well.

4.      Surprise others with random acts of kindness and do not ask for a reward.

5.      Accept that everyone will make mistakes and bad choices-learn from them. Do not laugh or stare when others make mistakes or bad choices.

6.      You must complete homework every day and make every effort to be organized.

7.      Always be the best you can be.
