Welcome to Hopewell High School! Home of the Titans! 


Hopewell High School is located in the fast growing area of Northern Mecklenburg County. With a population of over 790,000, Charlotte is the second largest financial center in the nation. Many national and international firms have their headquarters in Charlotte. The student population is drawn from the violet choice zone.


Hopewell High School opened its doors for the first time on August 15, 2001. The school serves a rapidly growing area and draws students primarily from North Charlotte and Huntersville. Hopewell offers a comprehensive curriculum that includes regular, Advanced/Honors, Advanced Placement, the Cambridge International Program, Career & Technical Education, Visual & Performing Arts and JROTC courses.

Students follow a semester schedule to complete 4 courses per semester and 8 per year in order to earn 32 credits in 4 years. Hopewell strongly promotes higher education, and we currently offer  Advanced Placement courses that  include: AP Environmental Science, AP Biology, AP Chemistry, AP Physics I, AP World History, AP Psychology, AP European History, AP Human Geography, AP U.S. History, AP Statistics, AP Calculus AB, AP Calculus BC, AP Digital Art, AP Literature & Composition, and AP Language & Composition.  

 Hopewell also offers the Cambridge Program which is an innovative and accelerated method of academic study offered solely through the University of Cambridge International Examinations (CIE), part of England’s renowned University of Cambridge.


Athletics play an important part in the extra-curricular life of students at Hopewell. The following sports are available: Soccer, Volleyball, Cross-Country, Golf, Football, Basketball, Softball, Baseball, Wrestling, Swimming & Diving, Indoor & Outdoor Track & Field, Tennis, and Cheerleading.
