Communities In Schools (CIS) is the nation's largest and most effective drop-out prevention network,helping young people to stay
in school, graduate, and prepare for life. The mission of Communities In Schools is to surround students with a community of support, empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life. We are committed to helping students achieve success in school and continue their education in college or other post-secondary training. At Highland, CIS works with teachers, staff, and the community to provide support for the school in the areas of attendance, academics, behavior, health, enrichment, and parental involvement.
