About Our School
The Front of Greenway Park Elementary School

Greenway Park Elementary School provides a safe, warm, nurturing, caring, and challenging learning environment where each child is recognized as an individual, and all children succeed. At Greenway Park Elementary School, we serve Pre-Kindergarten through Fifth Grade students. Academic achievement, social-emotional growth, and success for all are our primary goals. Our excellent, passionate staff work diligently to build a creative learning environment that nurtures positive character traits and promotes academic development for every student. Thanks to our generous community supporters, our school has nearly one-to-one technology for student use in learning. Greenway Park is housed in a beautiful school building that was constructed in 1995 and renovated in 2018. We have new facilities including a science lab and makerspace, dance studio, and band and orchestra classrooms.

We have an active PTA which meets monthly to plan fundraising activities to support staff and students. You can find our PTA on Facebook.

There are many activities to involve parents including curriculum nights and semesterly APTT Family Nights. Please see our school calendar on this website to get involved.

Our 3rd through 5th grade students can join many extra-curricular activities, such as the Science Olympiad, Basketball Club, Cheerleading Club, and boys and girls running clubs! Students can also choose to join the recycling club or the Safety Patrol. At Greenway Park, there are many options for our students to find friends who have similar interests.

Greenway Park has over 20 community partnerships! We are extremely thankful to have three strong faith partnerships with St. Stephen United Methodist Church, New Charlotte Church, and Matthews United Methodist Church. They volunteer in the school, provide supplies and technology for the school, and supply our family dinners and Pastries for Parents. Our many community partnerships are a large part of our school success in what we call a "Greenwave" of support.

Please enjoy your virtual visit to our school. We look forward to meeting you and showing you the wonderful campus located at 8301 Monroe Road in Charlotte, North Carolina.
