Meetings are held every other Tuesday (opposite of art club) in room 102. We try to connect and appreciate Asian cultures and share different aspects of popular entertainment, music, and customs.

Meetings periodically in room 605 after school. Students go to the library and tutor kids Thursdays from 4-6. Amigos is a service-based tutoring club for elementary students in the area. We are trying to build relationships between high school and elementary students and teach students the importance of service in the community.

Auto Tech Club

The Auto club is a student driven club that allows for hands on training in the auto and small engine industry. Students will work on cars, lawn equipment, Go carts, chain saws, and many more types of power equipment. The club meets every Thursday after school from 2:15-4:00 some students bring in their own cars to work on, others work on shop equipment.

Student-driven interest club overseen by the Art Teachers at East Meck. Refreshments are provided at each meeting so students can relax and enjoy the productive social environment. Projects, school service activities, and networking with persons of like interests are some of the events happening in Art Club. Meetings held in room 202 on ODD Tuesdays of the month (for example September 21). Contact any Art teacher for questions.

Meet every Friday from 2:30-4:00. Drama club is a special interest club for any East Meck student who loves theatre. We will sponsor East Side Stories. This is the eighth edition of the student playwright festival. Playwrights may submit 10 min. plays to C. Metz in room 801. The plays will be produced by the club on November 20 & 21.

Meet every other Monday night from 7:00-8:30. Must be a rising senior, 1 or more seasons on a varsity sport. Must be committed to being drug, alcohol, tobacco and violence free. Seek to: promote positive leadership skills and healthy lifestyles to elementary and middle school students; increase awareness as to the dangers of drugs alcohol and violence; to serve as positive role models at East Meck, while providing healthy and wholesome activities and services to the school.
