Principal's Weekly Update 

Welcome to the 2014-2015 school year!  I'm very excited to serve as Principal of Cato Middle College High School this year.  I will post weekly updates on this page as well as use Naviance, Remind 101 and Blackboard's Connect-Ed system to communicate with parents and students. 

This week's updates are..

Junior and senior make-up pictures are scheduled for September 22 from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. in the Learning Lounge.   

Students who may be interested in joining the Volunteering Club should plan to attend an interest meeting on Monday, September 22 during lunch (12:50) in Ms. Bates' classroom. 

The School Leadership Team (SLT) will meet on Wednesday, September 24 at 10 a.m. in classroom 176. All parents are welcome to attend. 

All Juniors should save the date of October 15, 2014 for the PSAT test administration.  Juniors are required to take the PSAT and must report to campus by 8 a.m. 

As a CMS student you can get free ACT and SAT prep!  Triumph Learning is an online program that all CMS students can use!   If you did not use the program last year, please see Ms. Johnson for the information.

CMCHS Progress Reports were distributed to all students on Wednesday, Sept. 10. To schedule a parent conference, please contact the teacher directly or you can contact Ms. Johnson to schedule a conference. Students grades are updated weekly on Power School.  You can view your child's grades weekly through the parent portal.  If you need login information, please contact Ms. Lillian Butts at lillian.butts@cms.k12.nc.us.

The Mayor's Youth Employment Program (MYEP) is coming to Cato Middle College High School for serious, highly motivated CMCHS students who are interested in career readiness training and an opportunity to earn a paid internship.   We still have10 available seats.  Students who are interested should see Ms. Johnson. 

Students will campaign for the Student Government Assoication on September 22-24.  Students will vote before school and during  lunch on September 25 with results posted during lunch on September 26.
