Hello students, parents, family, and friends. My name is Amanda McPeters and I am the Assistant Principal at Billingsville Leadership Academy. I am thrilled to be a part of the Billingsville family! I would like to take this opportunity to share with you about myself. I was born and raised in Rutherford County, North Carolina. I moved to the Charlotte area in 2007 to pursue my Bachelor's degree in Special Education at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte (UNCC).
I later went back to school (UNCC) and obtained my Masters of Arts in Special Education and Graduate Certificate in Autism Spectrum Disorders. I worked as a classroom exceptional children's teacher and leader at Metro School, Southwest Middle School and Mallard Creek High School. After taking on many leadership roles, I knew I wanted to make a greater impact and empower others. I then decided it was time to pursue a degree in school administration. I most recently completed my Post Graduate Certificate in School Administration at UNCC and I now proudly serve as the Assistant Principal at Billingsville Leadership Academy, where I hope to continue to make a positive impact in students' academic achievements and attainment to a lifelong love for learning.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, watching Clemson football, volunteering and playing softball. I am married and we have a beautiful 3 ½ year old daughter.
I believe that our school focus on rigor, relevance and relationships are the foundation for providing an exceptional educational experience for our students at Billingsville Leadership Academy. I look forward to serving the community, parents and students at Billingsville!
