This summer CMS is hosting the Summer Learning Blitz again!  Through this "blitz", students are encouraged to play using digital educational tools.  The district has provided free access to these tools that build math and reading skills.  Visit the Summer Learning Blitz website to access these tools.

What is included?  Compass Learning, Kids A-Z (formerly Reading A-Z), and Dreambox.

For every hour that students spend on these digital tools, their names are entered to win some awesome prizes awarded upon returning to school.  The more hours that students spend on these tools, the more times their names are entered to win the prizes!

In addition, the state has provided the myON digital library for FREE to all NC schools until August 31st!  The first time that students use this tool, they will take a 35 question assessment to determine their Lexile level and complete and interest survey to share information with types of books they like to read.  These will help with book recommendations from the digital library.  Happy reading!
