BARNETTE FAMILIES ARE ASKED TO HELP SPREAD THE WORD IN OUR COMMUNITY:
The CMS Communications Department would like to pass on the following information and ask for your help:
The last few years have been tough. CMS has reduced staff and services and employees have had to do more with no raises and increases to their cost of living.
The community needs to understand. We ask your help in spreading the word about the CMS budget – the facts that people need to know about how much we have cut and how difficult this has been for employees. Below is a link for a video with the voices of educators and support staff that we believe helps begin the discussion about CMS’ budget needs.
Please share the link with your neighbors, friends and anyone who may benefit from understanding that everyone owns public education. The community cannot underfund it and underpay employees and then expect to keep the most talented and hard-working individuals in our schools.

Barnette Staff and Families purchased these special limited edition shirts designed by our very own Mrs. Newman and wore them throughout the month of "Pinktober" in support of breast cancer research. Proceeds from the sale made possible a $425 donation to the Susan G. Komen Foundation on behalf of Barnette Elementary Staff and Families.
