This year, in order to constantly work on meeting every individual students' needs, we are embarking on the wonderful, research proven journey of Personalized Learning. This truly is the next step in ensuring that we are meeting all of our students on their individual turf so to speak. As part of this process, our teachers are working hard to create personalized classrooms based on how their students learn best. This can at times be a step away from the traditional classroom of all desks in a row as can be seen in the pictures below:
Here is where we need help:
Parents, do you have old chairs, tables, bean bag chairs, carpet, etc, that you no longer want? Have you seen old furniture in gently used condition within your neighbor that others are trying to get rid of? Then we have the donation center for you! As part of our Personalized Learning process, our teachers are always looking for ways to ensure a "personalized" learning classroom. One that meets every students' needs in terms of comfort, engagement, and individualized needs. As part of this process, many of our teachers would love to have some of the above mentioned items to ensure that their classroom is set up to achieve these goals. Therefore, we invite you to check this site from time to time to see what some of our teachers would love to have. If you happen to have a gently used item that no longer is of need and fits one of our teachers descriptions, please email them to make them aware, and see if they are still in need of this item. As always, we thank you for your strong support, and truly ensure that Barnette is the B.E.S.T school possible.
