You're invited to join the student assignment Phase II conversation.
The Board of Education has launched Phase II of its student assignment review process, which will focus on evaluating current home school attendance boundaries and school feeder patterns. Your input is an important part of the process and I invite you to attend the engagement session for our feeder pattern. It will be held on February 6th at Hopewell High School, located at 11530 Beatties Ford Road from 7-8:30 p.m. There, you can help CMS define the possible criteria to be used to evaluate current boundaries and feeder patterns. No specific maps or boundaries will be discussed at these sessions. The sole goal is to get your input on criteria. If you are unable to attend the meeting, you can attend any of the other scheduled meetings. The list can be found on our school website on the left hand side under the Communication and Blackboard Connect5 Link). I hope to see you there.

At Barnette, because we have become stewards in the "green initiative", one of our major ways to communicate to our families is through the Blackboard Connect service (Connect Ed).  With the Blackboard Connect service, we will be able to deliver important school information in a timely manner. The Blackboard Connect service also supports our ability to reach you immediately in the event of an emergency.

To ensure the Blackboard Connect service is as effective as possible it is important that we have your student's most up to date contact information at all times.

If you would like to receive transcripts by email - in addition to the phone calls, this is what you do:

Details pending:  CMS is working on establishing how this is to be coordinated with the new POWERSCHOOL.  Note, this change then is submitted to our Registrar for approval and will be in effect soon after that.  NOTE: email messages are merely transcripts of the phone message and therefore the formating of the text, despite how it was set up, may appear to be lost but the information is the same.
