Early Dismissal Policy
A student is counted absent if he leaves before 11:45AM or arrives after 11:45AM. Students who wish to leave school before the end of the school day must be checked out in the main office by an approved guardian. Parents who wish to sign their students out of school early may issue a signed letter to the teacher indicating the date and time of their anticipated arrival. Students are responsible for showing the letter to their teacher at the start of the block and attaining a hall pass to transition to the office at the time indicated on the parent’s letter. Students may not wait longer than 15 minutes in the main office before being asked to return to class. Parents must sign their children out, even if the letter was sent. Unexpected dismissals (for which a letter is not sent) will only happen during the first 15 minutes of class (please see bell schedule for more information). No calls for early dismissal will occur after the first 15 minutes of class. There will be no early student dismissals between 3:00PM and 3:15PM.
